Durham confident of Test sell-out
The Riverside at Chester-le-Street
The Riverside is one of England's most attractive venues
Durham are confident of a sell-out at the Riverside on the first two days of next week's second Test between England and Bangladesh.

Only 500 seats remain unsold for each day from a total capacity of 8,000.

"We understand there may be a high number of people planning to buy tickets on the day. However, it is unlikely there will be any to purchase.

"The only way to guarantee your ticket is to buy in advance," said Durham chief executive David Harker.

Tickets will cost £20 or £25, with a £5 admission for juniors. There are plenty available for the third day with only 2,000 sold so far.

The match which starts next Friday, is only the second Test to be staged at the ground.

Two years ago, England thrashed Zimbabwe in three days by an innings and 69 runs and Durham are hoping Bangladesh will put up stiffer resistance.

They expect the remaining tickets to be sold by Wednesday, with Steve Harmison likely to attract plenty of local support.

Paceman Harmison took 27 wickets in four Championship matches for Durham at the start of the season and is hoping to continue that form for the national team.
