The Sri Lankan batting, studded with players who have featured in senior international cricket, struggled to impose themselves in familiar conditions for the second time in the match.
After Harrison had reduced the home side to 27-2, Sajid Mahmood had Ian Daniel caught by Shah.
Three balls later, the Lancashire seamer had another wicket asThilina Kandamby was caught by Michael Powell for a duck.
There was no way back from 57-4. Alex Gidman had skipper Jehan Mubarak caught behind for 24 and then it was Swann's turn to get stuck in.
The score was 125-7 before Thushara, batting at nine, struck eight fours and four sixes.
But he was finally caught by Swann off his own bowling, and the end came soon afterwards.
