Day one: New Zealand 295-4 (at close) v England
Steve Harmison took two wickets with successive balls as England fought back on day one of the third Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge.
The Durham paceman bowled Nathan Astle for 15 and then trapped Craig McMillan lbw but the tourists were 295-4 at the close, with Scott Styris 68 not out.
Skipper Stephen Fleming earlier hit two sixes and 14 fours in his 117 before being caught off Andrew Flintoff.
Fleming shared an opening stand of 163 with Mark Richardson, who made 73.

1729: Oram appears to put little effort into the stroke as he pushes a ball from Saggers into the gap at mid-wicket, but the ball speeds away to the rope.
1727: Another impressive stroke by Styris as he moves onto the front foot to drive Harmison to the extra cover boundary.
1722: Saggers gives Styris too much room and is cracked away square for four.
1720: Oram drives a ball from Saggers powerfully but is denied a boundary when the ball hits the stumps at the bowler's end. He flicks a single off the next delivery to open his account.
1716: Styris goes after Harmison's hat-trick ball, which is well wide of off stump, but misses an attempted drive with the ball flying past the outside edge.

1437: Giles gets the much-needed breakthrough when Richardson spoons a catch to Vaughan at short mid-wicket.
