Thorpe says the series against New Zealand will be challenging

England batsman Graham Thorpe predicts a tough Test battle with New Zealand.
England lost 2-1 at home to the Kiwis in 1999 and drew 1-1 in New Zealand three years later.
Thorpe told BBC Five Live New Zealand were a hard team to play against and were well led by captain Stephen Fleming.
He added: "New Zealand might not be the most fashionable name to come over to England but as players we respect what they are all about."
England and New Zealand play three Tests, the first starts on 20 May at Lord's.
The Surrey batsman added: "New Zealand are going to be a totally different proposition to the West Indies.
"In the past, when we've not played well, we have been beaten by them and they always make for a challenging series. They are a strong side."
Thorpe praised England's bowlers for the 3-0 victory over West Indies in the Caribbean.
He said: "The strides England have made has been encouraging.
"The bowling has really come on this winter with the likes of Harmison and Jones, with Flintoff and Hoggard as well.
"It's quite exciting on the bowling front."
