Hollioake predicts England revival
England all-rounder Ben Hollioake
Hollioake: On the mend after a knee problem
England all-rounder Ben Hollioake believes the team will bounce back from their 155-run loss to New Zealand in Wellington on Saturday.

England head into Wednesday's third match in the series 2-0 down and needing a win to stay in with a chance of winning the one-day series.

Hollioake, who is battling to regain fitness, described England's capitulation as "very disappointing".

"I am sure the boys are holding their hands up and admitting they were poor," he added.

I am positive we can turn it around

"They have no choice but to do that, but there are still three games to play and a lot of people say we are going to win the series 3-2 after the way we came back in India.

"We've got a good team spirit, which isn't the be all and end all, but it helps. We'll pick ourselves up."

Hollioake is hoping to gain selection for the Napier match after recovering from a knee injury he sustained in India.

"If I make it back for these three games in New Zealand, I know I would have to do well and keep going through the summer's tri-series in England," he said.

"Then there will be the World Cup and I want to be there."

Hollioake described his injury, which has been diagnosed as tendinitis, as "frustrating and annoying".

"After the summer I started to cement my place and the injury took all the momentum I had away," he said.

Ashley Giles taking part in catching practice
Giles: Can now re-focus on cricket
Spin bowler Ashley Giles is, meanwhile, celebrating the arrival of a new baby daughter after an anxious few days.

Giles was given the news of Matilde's birth in a phone call from his wife, Stine, and is relieved the worrying is over.

"It's very sad I couldn't be there, but it's a special moment for both of us. I was on edge all night, waking up every three quarters of an hour wondering why I hadn't got the call."

"I'm sure there has been a lot of emotional strain on her, but she kept it hidden from me very well and that has helped me because it's been tough for me here."

He added: "There are always stages when you want to go home, but both Nasser and Duncan have stuck by me, so I felt it important to stick by them."
