Gough in Yorkshire pledge
Yorkshire have dismissed rumours of Gough's exit
Darren Gough has pledged his future to Yorkshire to dispel speculation linking him with a move away from the county.
Gough has been the subject of persistent rumours about his future, but he said on Wedensday he had no intention of leaving the county. "I'm Yorkshire born and bred. I'm hoping I'll be threre for the next five years," he said. He wanted to find out where the rumours were coming from and end them once and for all. "We need to find out who's saying these things inside the club," he said. Yorkshire chief executive Chris Hassall reiterated Gough's pledge adding: "Darren Gough is going nowhere."
Hassell added: "Darren Gough has done more for Yorkshire cricket than anybody for years and all the young kids want to emulate him. "His performances on the field have always been excellent - he has had good and bad days like all of us, but he has never been lacking in any effort or commitment. "He is totally committed to Yorkshire."
