Rhodes praises Worcester's pre-season preparations

Worcestershire are using Malvern College for pre-season training

Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes has praised his team's efforts in training, ahead of the start of the new season in April.

Rhodes has been particularly pleased with the new state-of-the-art sports complex that the players have been using at Malvern College.

"This is a brand new surface. It has a bit of give and it is more like grass," Rhodes told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

"It's been excellent, I am really pleased with the surface."

Rhodes says he has been impressed with the turn out for the sessions, despite the poor weather.

"The lads have fought really hard to get to the indoor nets, with the snow and traffic, and some of them have had long journeys."
