Luke Wright operation a success, says Sussex's Robinson

Luke Wright is recovering well after undergoing knee surgery, according to Sussex cricket manager Mark Robinson.

The 26-year-old England one-day international all-rounder has not played since July.

Robinson told BBC Sussex: "Luke has had an operation in Sweden which was a success. His recovery will take the first part of the winter.

"He's been around the ground, watching, but is missing cricket and is a bit bored and a bit frustrated."

Meanwhile Robinson is satisfied with the county's semi-final draw in the CB40.

Sussex, who lost their last three group games, will travel to the Oval to face Surrey.

"You had to play one of the tough teams, there were no easy ties," Robinson said.

"It's geographically easier for us, so we'll go to the Oval and we're very excited and optimistic about the prospect."
