Captain Michael Yardy makes Sussex return after illness

Sussex captain Michael Yardy
Yardy has played 28 one-day internationals for England

Michael Yardy will captain Sussex against Glamorgan at Hove on Tuesday after returning from his second break from cricket.

The 30-year-old spinner has not played since the FL t20 defeat to Middlesex on 10 June.

Yardy returned home early from the World Cup earlier this year after suffering from depression.

He returned to action in May but took a second break from the game to aid his recovery from illness.

Meanwhile, Murray Goodwin has been reprimanded by the county and warned as to his future conduct.

Since the start of last month the veteran batsman has been reported twice by umpires for showing dissent towards a decision when he has been dismissed.
