Sussex have signed Kent seam bowler Amjad Khan on a three-year deal.

The 29-year-old is Kent's leading wicket-taker in the County Championship this year, with 38 wickets at an average of 33.10.

He said: "My nine years with Kent have been fantastic but I have come to the point where I need a fresh challenge.

"Sussex has a great reputation for supporting and developing it's squad and I am excited about the prospects for the rest of my career."

Khan has made one Test appearance for England, against the West Indies in Port of Spain in March last year.

Sussex cricket manager Mark Robinson told BBC Sussex: "He brings a yard of pace, wicket-taking potential and he's hungry.

"He's desperately keen to revitalise his career, get back into the England fold, and win trophies.

"No player comes with a guarantee to do well, but his ambition is scary and that's what you want."
