Sandri took key Australian wickets in the summer tour of 2009

Sussex have confirmed that South African seamer Pepler Sandri will not be offered a new deal for next season. The 26-year-old, who signed a one-year deal last year, took three top-order wickets in nine overs against the touring Australian team at Hove. Sussex cricket manager Mark Robinson said: "We're really disappointed that it didn't work out with Pepler. "He was never able to really settle into the demands of English cricket. We wish him all the best." Apart from his fine debut against the Australians, Pepler - who qualified as a non-overseas player on a European passport - was given just one appearance in the Championship, failing to take a wicket in 14 overs.
