Surrey wicket-keeper Jonathan Batty has signed a two-year contract extension which ties him to the club until the end of the 2009 season.
The 32-year-old has scored more than 8,500 runs, taken over 500 catches and completed 88 stumpings in all competitions since his debut in 1997.
"Promotion into Division One and a number of great signings means the club is entering a very exciting era.
"I am very much looking forward to being part of that," he said.
