Butcher is hoping for more silverware in 2007
|
Surrey captain Mark Butcher has agreed an extension to his contract until the end of the 2008 season.
The former England batsman led the team to promotion last summer, a year after they were relegated from the top flight of the County Championship.
"Securing Mark's services until the end of 2008 is great news for the club.
"He is very well respected by all of the squad, not to mention his invaluable contributions with the bat," said his father, coach Alan Butcher.
