Australian all-rounder Cameron White has signed a deal to return to Somerset as one of their overseas players for the 2007 season, it has been announced.
Somerset, who must re-build following a disastrous 2006 campaign, are pleased to have retained the services of the big-hitting batsman/slow bowler.
Director of cricket Brian Rose said: "Cameron proved himself a one-day match-winner with teh bat this summer.
"I am sure our supporters will share our pleasure in signing him again."
Rose said the team's other overseas target "will also be a batsman".
Justin Langer had a brief and successful spell with the club this year and is likely to feature on their shortlist.
But the Test opener has also attracted plenty of interest from other counties.
