Blain enjoyed an excellent season for Scotland

John Blain was named the Players' Player of the Year at Cricket Scotland's Caledonians Dinner.
Blain took 39 wickets for Scotland this year, including career-best figures of 5-22 against the Netherlands, and averaged 14.25 with the bat.
Gavin Hamilton picked up the Batsman of the Year award and Dewald Nel was given the Bowler of the Year accolade.
Wicketkeeper Colin Smith was selected as All-Rounder of the Year, averaging over 25 runs and taking 31 catches.
Hamilton averaged 23.25 with the bat this season and made an impressive 115 against Ireland at Mannofield in July.
Nel took 42 wickets for Scotland in 2008 and managed 4-25 in the same victory over Ireland in Aberdeen.
