No regrets on retirement - Ealham

Nottinghamshire all-rounder Mark Ealham insists he has no regrets about deciding to retire this year.

The 39-year-old will bring the curtain down on a 20-year career when he quits cricket in September.

Ealham told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I'd like to finish the season on a high note in the first team playing well, and hopefully winning the Championship.

"I think you can keep trying to go on and maybe the body starts to fail. I didn't want to start playing badly."

The former England international began his career with Kent where he spent 14 years, before joining Notts in 2003.

He made his England debut in 1996, making his one-day bow against India in May of that year, and his first Test match against the same opposition at Trent Bridge in July.
