Notts batsman Wagh signs new deal

Former Warwickshire player Wagh joined Nottinghamshire in 2006

Nottinghamshire batsman Mark Wagh has signed a three-year extension to his contract at Trent Bridge.

"Mark made a significant contribution last season and we'll be looking for more of the same in 2009," said Notts director of cricket Mick Newell.

"As a consistent, English-qualified batsmen, he is a player who would be in high demand and both parties were keen on the extension."

Wagh, 32, scored 1,033 runs in last season's Division One campaign.
