'Slim' chance of Hussey returning

Hussey has been a valuable run-getter for Nottinghamshire

Australian batsman David Hussey is unlikely to appear for Nottinghamshire next season, according to director of cricket Mick Newell.

Hussey had been scheduled to feature this year, but has been unable to do so because of his Indian Premier League and international team commitments.

Newell told BBC Radio Nottingham: "You'd have to say the chances of him playing much are slim.

"If Australia were picking their squad for the Ashes now, he'd be in it."
