Middlesex coach Toby Radford says his side have prepared like prize fighters for the Stanford Series.

Middlesex face England on Sunday before playing Trinidad & Tobago on Monday and the Stanford Superstars on Wednesday.

"I was comparing it to how a fighter prepares for his big fight. We come out a week early and everything builds as the week goes on," he told BBC London.

"Everything's been geared for next weekend. We've got England and then the big game for the money on the Monday."

Middlesex play Caribbean Twenty20 champions Trinidad for the chance to win up to 193,500.

Radford, who said acclimatisation for the Stanford Super Series had been not been easy, with high temperatures making sleeping conditions difficult, added: "It's four big days of focus and if we win then the party can start."

He also reacted to the Champions League draw which sees the Crusaders pitted against India's Chennai Super Kings, Pretoria Titans from South Africa and Australian side Victoria Bushrangers.

"They're all going to be tough matches but it's brilliant for the club to work at that level," he said.
