Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf says there is a chance he could return to play for Lancashire in the future.
Yousuf hit an unbeaten 205 on his final appearance for the county as the Roses match with Yorkshire ended in a draw.
But asked whether he would return, he told BBC Radio Manchester: "Maybe. I try to do my level best for the team and this last game I did well.
"Maybe the next time I'm coming I'll do well for them because Lancashire is a good team and a good club."
Yousuf is heading back to the sub-continent to play in a one-day international tri-series against Bangladesh and India.
The 33-year-old's departure means Lancashire are without an overseas player for the foreseeable future as Brad Hodge is to remain on duty with Australia until the end of their tour of the West Indies, which ends on 6 July.
Lancashire coach Mike Watkinson said: "It's not a great situation to be in with the uncertainty and it makes plans difficult, but that's the price we pay for having an international cricketer like Brad."
