Chapple wins award
Chapple is Lancashire's Player of the Year
Chapple hits out during a B&H Cup match
All-rounder Glenn Chapple has been named as Lancashire's Player of the Year.

The 28-year-old took 54 first-class wickets and scored 493 runs during the summer and also proved an effective member of the side in the one-day game.

"All the lads deserve it, not just me. They've all worked extremely hard this season. It's been an honour to play along side them," Chapple commented.

The club has, meanwhile, awarded county caps to David Byas, Mark Chilton, Alec Swann and Chris Schofield.

Batsman Byas is the only player to be capped by and to score a first-class century for both Lancashire and Yorkshire.
