Kent captain David Fulton has taken a swipe at his team, following a miserable start to the season.
David Fulton says his players must start performing
Kent have won just one match this term, and Fulton, who has yet to play because of an eye injury, says a number of his team-mates are not playing to their potential.
"I just ask them to look in the mirror," he said. "The finger pointing has got to be done inwardly.
"Some players over the last couple of weeks have put their hand up and stood up and others haven't done that."
Kent currently lie eighth in the County Championship table and seventh in the National League.
And Fulton has admitted that his side must turn their season around sooner rather than later.
"They know what they've got to do but we've got to pull it round quickly," he added.
"The guys know that first of all we've got to prepare better and practise better so that when we go into a game our skills are up to scratch so we can compete."
