Six sign extended Hampshire deals

Hampshire

Hampshire have announced that six players have signed extensions to their contracts at the Rose Bowl.

Batsmen Michael Lumb and Michael Carberry and bowler Chris Tremlett have signed new three-year deals.

There are also new two-year deals for batsmen Jimmy Adams and Chris Benham and bowler David Balcombe.

Team manager Giles White said: "I am delighted that this group of players have extended their contracts. They are highly valued by the club."

He added: "It is hoped that they will form the core of the side for years to come."

Meanwhile, the county have awarded five 12-month development contracts to Hampshire Academy graduates Tom Parsons, Ben Howell, James Vince, Hamza Riazzudin and Chris Morgan.
