Hampshire all-rounder Kevin Latouf has become the first player from the club to go out on loan.
The former England under-19 international has joined Warwickshire on an initial one-month arrangement.
The South African has had limited opportunities at the Rose Bowl since making his first-class debut in 2005.
The 22-year-old has made one appearance in the County Championship and has featured in eleven one-day matches for the county.
Hampshire manager Paul Terry told BBC Radio Solent: "It's just an opportunity for Kevin really.
"Warwickshire approached Giles White when the second team were playing a few weeks ago.
"They haven't got very many young players and at the moment he's not getting a look in with us.
"If he can battle his way into their side and play some first-class cricket then it's the best thing for him personally."
