Gloucestershire have announced a pre-tax surplus of £283,000 for the financial year ended 30 September 2007.
The statement comes despite the cancellation of Cheltenham's cricket festival in July 2007 because of bad weather which waterlogged the ground.
Insurance claimed from the event meant the loss was limited to just £8,000.
The pre-tax profit represents a significant improvement compared to the previous year - when the county suffered a deficit of £36,000.
The main contribution came from an increase of £218,000 in payments from the England and Wales Cricket Board.
