England Lions seam bowler James Harris has signed a three year contract with Glamorgan keeping him at the Swalec Stadium until 2013.

Batsman Tom Maynard has also penned a three year contract.

"It's very pleasing to have James and Tom committed to Glamorgan for the next three years," said the county's director of cricket Matthew Maynard.

"James is just 20 and Tom only 21 which is very encouraging. They are both hugely talented."

Added Maynard: "And we are looking forward to working with them to progress their games further over the next few years."

Harris, who has frequently been touted as a future England bowler, especially after taking 63 first-class wickets last season, has ended speculation that he was about to be lured to another county.

Both Maynard and Harris are products of the Glamorgan Academy with Harris earning his first professional contract in 2006 and Maynard in 2007.

Harris had a season to savour in 2010 during which he claimed his 100th wicket of his first-class career during the match against Worcestershire at New Road - the youngest Glamorgan bowler to reach the landmark.

Maynard's highlight of 2010 was scoring a competition best score of 78 from just 43 balls which saw the Glamorgan Dragons beat the Surrey Lions by five wickets in the Friends Provident t20 at The Oval.

He was also won the young player of the year at the Glamorgan Cricket annual awards.

The Harris-Maynard contracts come on the back of Robert Croft signing a new two-year deal.

Croft, 40, put pen to paper on a deal which includes coaching duties.

For the 2011 season, in addition to his playing responsibilities, Croft will also assume a coaching role, assisting with the development of the Glamorgan's young players.
