Glamorgan experiment in FP Trophy
Simon Jones
Glamorgan continue to ease Jones back into action
Glamorgan have included Simon Jones in their 15-man squad for back-to-back Friends Provident Trophy matches with Essex and Surrey on Sunday and Monday.

The England paceman is expected to play in just one of the games, though, as he continues to be eased back into action.

With Glamorgan out of contention in the tournament, Robert Croft (calf) and Damien Wright (ankle) will be rested for the games in Swansea and Cresselly.

Andrew Davies and Ryan Watkins are also struggling, so Michael O'Shea is in.

"Damien's injury is not serious, but we are mindful that we have got back-to-back championship games against Essex and Nottinghamshire over the next fortnight," said Glamorgan captain David Hemp.

"We want him fully fit for those. We also have the Twenty20 Cup starting in a couple of weeks and we believe he has a big role to play in that as well."

Glamorgan squad: Jimmy Maher, Nicky Peng, Alex Wharf, Michael Powell, David Hemp (capt), Ben Wright, Mark Wallace (wk), Robert Croft, Michael O'Shea, Ryan Watkins, Andrew Davies, Simon Jones, Damien Wright, Dean Cosker, Huw Waters.
