All-rounder Alex Wharf has signed a new three-year contract with Glamorgan to keep him at the county until 2008.

Wharf made his international debut last year in England's one-day side, taking three wickets in his first three overs against India to return 3-30.

The 30-year-old Yorkshireman has been hindered by injury this season, playing just nine matches in the County Championship and Totesport League.

Wharf hit 77 runs in Glamorgan's match against Bangladesh A on Tuesday.
