Palladino has been with Essex 11 years

Essex seam bowler Tony Palladino has agreed a one-year contract extension with the county. The 26-year-old, who made his first XI debut in 2003, has signed a deal which will keep him with the side until the end of the 2010 campaign. Palladino played in three County Championship matches during Essex's promotion-winning campaign last season. He told the club's website: "I love pulling on the shirt. I hope I can contribute to more success." Essex coach Paul Grayson added: "We are really pleased that the deal has been agreed. "When Tony has come into the side this season he has performed well but unfortunately he sustained a few niggles. We are confident he'll come back an even better player next year."
