Essex spinner Danish Kaneria is delighted his side have got off to a winning start in their Pro40 campaign.
The 27-year-old overseas player took two wickets in the Eagles' five-wicket win over the Yorkshire Carnegies at the County Ground on Wednesday.
"It's always good to keep the team winning, which is a wonderful thing and to start the Pro40 like this is excellent," he told BBC Essex.
"We hope that we will be able to carry that on through the season."
He added: "The ball is coming out [of my hand] really well and all the team are wanting me to do well.
"I'm trying to do well in every game and to take wickets, everything is going pretty well."
Essex's next match in the Pro40 competition is against Leicestershire at Grace Road on Sunday.
