Coach Hendrick leaves Derbyshire

Derbyshire bowling coach Mike Hendrick has left the club after four seasons in his post.

The former England international leaves as a result of a restructuring of the club's bowling coaching, implemented by head of cricket John Morris.

"I would like to thank Mike for the hard work he has put in during his time with Derbyshire," Morris said.

Hendrick, 60, played 167 matches for Derbyshire before rejoining the club as a coach in 2004.

He took 497 first-class wickets for the county, and also played 30 Test matches and 22 one-day internationals for England in his career.

Chairman Don Amott told the club's website: "First as a player and later as a coach, Mike has given the club long and distinguished service. I wish him all the very best for the future."
