Derbyshire have signed former Nottinghamshire fast bowler Richard Hodgkinson to provide more selection options in an injury-blighted season.
The paceman, 23, has signed until the end of the season in the absence of the injured trio Boyd Rankin, Kevin Dean and Graeme Welch, who has retired.
Hodgkinson played two one-day matches for Nottinghamshire in 2005.
He has been playing second team cricket for Surrey, and goes straight into Derbyshire's first XI squad.
