Derbyshire have signed wicket-keeper Jamie Pipe from Worcestershire on a two-year contract.
He will join the club next season as a replacement for Luke Sutton, who is set to leave at the end of the summer.
"The club have made a good impact in one-day cricket this season and still have a chance of promotion.
"Although Championship results have been disappointing, I feel I'm joining a county at the start of something special," Pipe commented.
The 27-year-old began the summer as first-choice keeper at New Road but lost his place to England under-19 cap Stephen Davies.
He has made 31 first-class appearances, taking 80 catches and scoring 781 runs at an average of 18,6. including a career best 104 not out against Hampshire two years ago.
