Division Two promotion hopefuls Worcestershire were frustrated by both the weather and their opponents on day two against Sussex at New Road.

Only 14 overs of play were possible, during which Sussex moved from their overnight 191-7 to 225-7.

There was time for Andrew Hodd (51 not out) to reach his half century and Will Beer to move to 35 not out.

Worcestershire began the game nine points behind Glamorgan, who occupy the second and final promotion berth.
