FRIENDS PROVIDENT t20, Edgbaston:
No result - Warwickshire 196-9 (20 ovs) v Lancashire 3-0 (1 ov)
Jim Troughton hits out on the way to his first Twenty20 half-century this summer
Rain was the only winner at Edgbaston as Warwickshire's FP t20 clash with Lancashire was abandoned.
Only one over of Lancashire's reply was possible before the heavens opened, with the Red Rose county on 3-0.
Warwickshire, after being put into bat, had earlier posted 196-9 from their 20 overs to set a challenging target.
Jim Troughton's valuable 66 guided them to that total as they fell away from 129-2 after a good start by Jonathan Trott (42) and Neil Carter (39).
New Zealand international Nathan McCullum was the most successful Lancashire bowler, taking 3-31, while there were two wickets each for Saj Mahmood and England paceman James Anderson.
