Owais Shah led the way for holders Middlesex with an unbeaten 61 as they beat Surrey by seven wickets in their Twenty20 Cup dead rubber at The Oval.

Shah reached his haul off 41 balls as the visitors reached their target of 160-5 with 10 balls to spare.

Surrey started well as openers Michael Brown and Chris Jordan put 76 on the board in nine overs but the former's first Twenty20 50 was not enough.

They reduced Middlesex to 46-2 but Shah put them to the sword in classy style.
