Rain frustrates Ireland and Leics

FRIENDS PROVIDENT TROPHY, GROUP A, Dublin
Ireland v Leicestershire - Match abandoned (Ireland 1pt, Leics 1pt)

Ireland suffered their second straight home rain off after their FP Trophy clash against Leicestershire was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Persistent rain in Dublin resulted in the contest being called off midway through the afternoon.

The call-off did neither side any favours as they both remain in the bottom two of Group A.

Ireland's game against Hampshire at Eglington on Sunday was also lost to the weather.
