Dippenaar knock thwarts Middlesex

An unbeaten 85 from Boeta Dippenaar boosted Leicestershire's chances of saving the game after they were made to follow on by Middlesex.

Resuming from their overnight 161-5, Leicestershire were eventually dismissed for 258, still 235 behind.

They then lost Matthew Boyce to only the fifth ball of their second innings, trapped lbw by Tim Murtagh.

Tom New (43) followed, but Dippenaar and HD Ackerman (45 not out) added 96 together as they closed on 177-2.
