Glamorgan made a promising start in their pursuit of a target of 403 to spoil Warwickshire's celebrations as Division two winners.

The visitors reached the close at Edgbaston having scored 122-1 in 25 overs with Gareth Rees unbeaten on 54.

Earlier, three wickets from Adam Shantry, who finished with 5-52, had restricted the Bears' lead to 402.

Neil Carter and Rikki Clarke both made half-centuries for the home side and Ian Salisbury added 39.
