Rogers shines in Derbyshire draw

Chris Rogers scored his second first-class century of the season as Derbyshire and Northamptonshire played out a draw in Division Two.

The stand-in Derbyshire captain hit 19 fours in his 118 before bad light and rain ended the game prematurely.

Earlier Northants had resumed on 297-7 and tailenders David Wigley and Jason Brown ushered them past the follow-on despite the efforts of Jonathan Clare.

The 22-year-old all-rounder ended with career-best figures of 7-74.
