County Championship D2, Derby, day two (close): Derbyshire 208 v Leicestershire 117-6
The bowlers of Derbyshire and Leicestershire took advantage of a helpful pitch on day two of their game.
The hosts fell to 208 all-out from an overnight 111-3, with James Allenby and Tom Smith each grabbing three wickets.
But Leicestershire also struggled in conditions which helped the seam bowlers and they visitors slumped to 117 for six by the close.
Charl Langeveldt took three for 10 in 32 balls against his former side, who are still 91 runs behind.
Play had resumed on the second day and hour late because of the weather and Wavell Hinds was run out after Jacques Du Toit's acrobatic throw following Rikki Clarke calling for a sharp single.
Hinds' loss for 44 sparked a Derbyshire collapse as they lost three wickets for 12 runs in six overs either side of lunch.
The hosts fell to 172 for eight before some lusty blows from Graham Wagg secured them a batting point.
Leicestershire struggled in their response but it could have been worse if Paul Nixon and Greg Smith had not played out the last 11 overs without loss.
