HD Ackerman's fantastic 139 inspired Leicestershire to a seven-run win over Northants to continue the Foxes' excellent FP Trophy campaign so far.

In a match featuring 11 South African Kolpak players, Ackerman led the way with 17 fours in his 150-ball knock.

He scored over half the visitors' total of 268-6, but Niall O'Brien struck 95 as Northants' reply got off to a flier.

But after a collapse the Foxes took charge and despite an eighth-wicket stand of 49, Northants fell just short.

Monty Panesar and Johann Louw almost forced an unlikely victory, the latter smashing four fours and a six in his 26-ball 35, but Claude Henderson (2-38) was key in keeping the hosts to a minimal target.
