LV County Championship D1, Headingley Carnegie, day three (close): Yorkshire 307 v Surrey 87-3
Yorkshire teenager Adil Rashid made the highest score of his career but their rain-affected game against Surrey seems to be heading for a draw.
Rashid ran out of partners on 91 as the home side were all out for 307 after only 65 overs on the first two days.
He shared stands of 49 with Darren Gough (28) and 55 with Deon Kruis (20) to secure a third batting bonus point.
Gough then took 3-14 but an unbeaten 30 from Mark Ramprakash saw Surrey to 87-3 when bad light ended play.
The Yorkshire skipper struck with his fifth ball as Scott Newman edged to Jacques Rudolph at first slip and then forced Jon Batty onto the back foot for an lbw decision.
Jason Gillespie also caused plenty of problems at the other end, where Mark Butcher was dropped by Rudolph and Ramprakash edged between the keeper and the South African without either reacting in time.
But Butcher went in the over before tea when Gough got one to leave him off the pitch and had him caught behind for 11.
Yorkshire's hopes of making further inroads were hampered when Kruis went off with a side strain after sending down only eight deliveries and Stewart Walters (23) kept Ramprakash company until bad light ended play nine overs early.
