County Championship D2, Worcester: Sussex 512-8 dec beat Worcestershire 100 & 303
Points: Sussex 22, Worcestershire 2
Champions Sussex found their form to crush Worcestershire by an innings and 109 runs in the County Championship.
Graeme Hick's 108, his 134th career century, was not enough to save the hosts as they followed on 412 behind.
A Sussex win looked on the cards after Robin Martin-Jenkins skittled the home side's top order in a spell of 3-17.
Steve Davies (40) and Gareth Batty (64) supported Hick in a rearguard action but Rana Naved and Mushtaq Ahmed took the last four wickets in eight overs.
It was the third innings defeat for Worcestershire this season, underlining the Division One newcomers' struggle with bowling injuries and a relatively small squad.
For Sussex it was the second win of the season, after away defeats to Warwickshire and Kent, as they regained some of the title-winning form of 2006.
