Twenty20 Cup, The Oval: Surrey 168-4 (19.2 ovs) bt Middlesex 163-6 (20 ovs)
Prolific Mark Ramprakash fired an unbeaten 85 to guide Surrey to a six-wicket success over Middlesex.
His team were in trouble at 24-3 in pursuit of 164 but Ramprakash shared 110 in 76 balls with Jon Batty.
Ramprakash finished the game off with four balls to spare with a four over extra cover and a huge straight six.
Earlier Jamie Dalrymple hammered 61 from 44 balls and Middlesex debutant Tyron Henderson 22 in 14 balls before he was sixth out in the final over.
Dalrymple struck 15 from Jade Dernbach's only over as the fifty came up off 34 balls, before slicing to the third man boundary.
Surrey lost prominent batsmen James Benning, Alistair Brown and Mark Butcher in the first five overs.
Benning made only three before he skied a drive to Eoin Morgan at mid-on, Brown scored 15 in just nine balls but lofted straight to mid-off where Murali Kartik took a difficult catch, while Butcher edged a Henderson out-swinger to second slip for a duck.
But Ramprakash calmly steered the Brown Caps to their seventh successive win over Middlesex in the competition.
