Division Two champions Surrey ended their 2006 campaign with a thrilling five-wicket win at Derbyshire.
It was Surrey's 10th win of the season but this one came up with a scrambled bye off the last ball with the visitors successfully chasing 273 off 40 overs.
It all came about after Surrey declared on 275-8, 110 behind, before Derbyshire amassed 162-8 before also declaring.
Scott Newman's 83 off 76 balls and Mark Butcher's 59 not out got them home after Ian Salisbury had taken 4-53.
