County Championship D2, Swansea, day three (close): Surrey 348 & 261-3 v Glamorgan 410
Former England batsman Mark Ramprakash became the first player to 1,000 runs this season as Surrey closed day three 199 ahead of bottom-placed Glamorgan.
The Welsh county, seeking a second win of the campaign, took their last wicket stand to 55, skipper Robert Croft last out for 72 with eight fours and a six.
Ramprakash and Jon Batty shared 125 but Mark Butcher fell third ball for one.
However, Ramprakash struck 12 fours and two sixes in his fourth century of the season as Surrey closed on 261-3.
Shortly after reaching his 83rd first-class hundred Ramprakash drove spinner Dean Cosker for a straight six, and Ali Brown did the same in a cameo unbeaten 40.
Earlier, with Croft becoming the fourth batsman to reach fifty in the Glamorgan innings, the home side secured maximum batting points as their score reached 410.
Number 11 Dean Cosker taking 10 runs off one Rikki Clarke over, including a
top-edged hook for six, before Croft fell to a stunning diving catch by Ian Salisbury at slip.
