County Championship D2, Taunton, day three (close): Leicestershire 254 & 145-4 v
Somerset 314 254
Arul Suppiah was cruelly denied a century but Somerset kept alive a faint hope of victory over Leicestershire.
Suppiah was caught and bowled by Cluade Henderson for 99 but Ian Blackwell (49) and Richard Johnson (40) helped Somerset take a first innings lead.
Leicestershire were 14-2 at one point before HD Ackerman (64) and Dinesh Mongia (49) put on 99 together.
But Ackerman fell shortly before the close with the Foxes still 85 runs ahead with six wickets left.
Blackwell did not appear to field after having a scan for a shoulder injury, the results of which will be known on Saturday.
He had only just returned from a month out of action with back trouble.
