County Championship D1, Headingley, day two (stumps): Yorkshire v Lancashire 417-9 dec
Law helped Lancashire maintain their stranglehold on the game

Rain hampered Lancashire's attempts to build on their strong position in the Roses match against Yorkshire.
The visitors declared their first innings on 417-9, with Stuart Law joining Mal Loye in making a century.
But, as on day one, the weather had the final say to prevent Yorkshire from batting after the tea interval.
Loye (138) and Law (101) took their stand to 206 before both fell within three overs and four wickets went down for 31 late on in the Headingley gloom.
Loye perished when he pulled a Tim Bresnan long-hop straight to Deon Kruis at long leg before Law reached three figures and fell to the next ball, lbw playing across the line to John Blain.
Luke Sutton was dropped at slip on one by Matthew Wood off Bresnan and 19 runs later by wicket-keeper Gerard Brophy off Kruis, before Kruis trapped him leg before for 46.
Glen Chapple (35), Kyle Hogg and Dominic Cork all followed in quick succession but Lancs still remain more likely to force a result.
"With 420 on the board I'd rather be in our shoes than theirs at this stage. If it does fine up it may freshen the pitch up," said Law.
The Australian also praised Loye's innings, saying: "He hits the ball as hard
as anyone going around.
"Once he gets in it is a great time to be batting, because the bowlers aren't
really sure where to bowl to him - and that makes it easier for the guy at the
other end."
