Sussex's fight to avoid relegation was handed a boost as they beat Surrey by five wickets on day three at Hove.
The hosts, set just 125 to win, slumped to 32-4 before Matt Prior took over with an unbeaten 66 off 48 balls, including 10 boundaries and two sixes.
The keeper-batsman put on 83 for the fifth wicket with Michael Yardy (35).
Surrey, 54-0 overnight, were earlier bowled out for 254 after losing their last five wickets for 24 runs, with Naved-ul-Hasan returning 4-70.
Sussex, third-bottom before this match, move out of the relegation zone, but Surrey's outside hopes of winning the Championship now look wafer thin.
